How we handle the information you give us. Short version: we use it to talk to you about beef, and nothing else.

Rankin Industries, LLC dba Lost Valley Beef operates lostvalleybeef.com. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you fill in a form or email us, we receive your name, phone number, email address, mailing address or town and whatever you write in the message.
- Basic site analytics. Our host records standard web request information such as pages requested, approximate location and browser type. We do not use this to identify individuals.
What we do with it
- Answer your question and arrange your beef order.
- Contact you about the order — availability, timing, pickup or delivery.
- Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Text messages
If you tick the SMS consent box, we may text you about your beef order. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Your consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase, and we do not share text-message consent or phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing.
The Fresh Beef List
If you join our Fresh Beef List, we collect your name, email address, mailing address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and which shares you are interested in. We use it for one thing: to email you when we have fresh beef back from processing, and to work out whether you are on a delivery route or closer to ranch pickup. We keep the list in our customer database (GoHighLevel), which stores it on our behalf. We only email when beef is available, every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time. Joining the list does not reserve beef or create any obligation to buy.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store standard technical information required to load the page.
How long we keep it
We keep order and enquiry records as long as we need them to serve you and to meet ordinary business record requirements.
Your choices

Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
